I know. It's fucking frustrating. I will be spending most of my time with them; maybe that'll cut down on the violence.

What about the time that you're not spending with them?

Dude, simmer down; this is literally your job, so don't act like having to do it is some unwarranted hardship. Why don't you just spend all your time with them?

Look, I'm pretty much an emotional void. So if you have any questions or want any tips--

I was similar for a while, but I'm out of practice dealing with people with their kind of... lack of impulse control. If you have tips, I'd appreciate it.

Focus on how they act and how they think, not what they feel. If they're full of shit when they say they're not capable of feeling anything, then you're just taking baby steps; nothing wrong with that. But if they really don't have the capacity for that kind of thing, you won't be frustrating the both of you while you bang your head against the wall.

Anyone can adjust their behavior. Even someone who doesn't have feelings.

Focus on actions. I can do that.

I think they do have some emotions, they're just so muted they're basically not there at all. I don't care if they don't grow any more, I just want them to stop killing people.

That's-- basically me too, yeah. The whole "basically not there at all" thing is true from the inside, too.

I was angry, when I first got here. So angry I didn't have room for anything else and for so long I wasn't really feeling the anger itself anymore. I felt hollow. Like the barrel of a gun.

Trauma response?

Yeah. Turns out that losing the only place you've ever lived and then going straight into battle fucks a person up.

That sucks.
