“I hope you get paired soon,” they say, “so you can get it back.” It sounds wrong when they say it, but the warmth in their body tells them some of the emotion is there.
“I like that idea. I need to talk to her and the Admiral, though. I want to go back to my world eventually.” They think they could help their kind, and they would rather not watch themself outlive Rawne and Shaw.
“My first thought was to ask for emotions for everyone in my world, but learning to identify what I have was more helpful than if the Admiral had given me emotions. He may not be able to do it, and if he can I might do more harm than good.” They know he gave them the orb for a reason.
