“I hope you get paired soon,” they say, “so you can get it back.” It sounds wrong when they say it, but the warmth in their body tells them some of the emotion is there.
“I like that idea. I need to talk to her and the Admiral, though. I want to go back to my world eventually.” They think they could help their kind, and they would rather not watch themself outlive Rawne and Shaw.
“I liked the idea of giving other Passengers emotions, but the Admiral might not be able to do it and it could do more harm than good.” They think they got more out of learning to identify what they had than they would have gotten out of being given human emotions.
